Betty King, 62, was called home from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her residence in Silver Creek, MS. Mrs. King was born July 1, 1952 in Prentiss, MS to Paul Bennett and Louise Herrington Barnett.
Visitation will be at Shalom Baptist Church in New Hebron, MS on May 14, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM. The graveside service will follow in Cliburn Cemetery in New Hebron, MS. Rev. Ray Hodges and Rev.Mike Sutton will officiate the services. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. King worked for many years in the New Hebron Manufacturing as a seamstress. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Shalom Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Bennett and Louise Herrington Barnett; daughter, Darla Bullock Berard; and brothers, Paul Barnett and HT Barnett.
Survivors are her husband of 31 years, Shelton King of Silver Creek, MS; daughter, Dana Bullock Dickerson and husband Derek of Silver Creek, MS; son, Kenny Bullock and wife Becky of Monticello, MS; Brother: Ausbin Barnett of New Hebron, Sister, Barbara Nations of New Hebron.Grandchildren, Lyle Berard, Logan Berard, Lacy Berard, Cody Burrow, Dillon Berard, Garrett Dickerson, Alyssa Bullock, Gage Bullock and Alexis Shivers; great grandchildren, Evan Berard, Taylor Berard and Madisyn Berard; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are Lyle Berard, Logan Berard, Cody Burrow, Ben Barnett, Billy Barnett and Randy Barnett.
Honorary pallbearers are James Nations, Cory Nations, Ricky Barnett, Jim Barnett, Dillon Berard, Gage Bullock, Garrett Dickerson, Billy Reynolds and Emmitt Bullock.
The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to the staff of St. Luke's Home Health and Hospice Services, Dr. Pace, the staff of AAA Ambulance Service, the members of the Monticello Fire Department, and Emmitt Bullock and family.
