Betty Kay
Chapman
November 13, 1965 – June 10, 2025
Betty Kay Chapman, 59 of Monticello, MS passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at her residence in Monticello, MS. She was born Saturday, November 13, 1965 in Texas.
She was strong in her faith and had a deep love for God's word. Strong, honest, loyal, and kind—she was everything you could hope for in family and mre. Her love for her family was deep, and she always wanted the very best for everyone. She had the biggest heart and the sweetest soul.
She enjoyed the simpler things in life, KK found peace and joy in the outdoors. You could always find her in the yard—working, gardening, planting flowers, or setting fires. She loved to go fishing, and collecting antiques. These things brought her joy, but what she treasured most was spending time with her son, her family, and her friends.
KK loved hard, and everyone who knew her loved her right back. She lived with a giving heart and was always there with a helping hand when someone needed it. Her life was full of warmth, strength, and compassion, and though she may be gone, the impact she had on those who loved her will never fade.
She will be missed more than words can ever say.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Chapman; father, William Jasper Barton; mother, Carrolynn Barton brother, Billy Joe Barton.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Auston Reid of Jayess, MS; step-daughter, Shameka Boyd; grandchildren, Grant Keene, Jayden Keene and Jason Keene; brothers, Eddie Barton, Shane Barton and Lance Barton; sister, Salina Garrett; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
