Ms. Bessie Mae Russell, 76 of Monticello, MS passed away on March 25, 2019 at her residence in Monticello, MS. Bessie was born May 25, 1942 in Monticello, MS to James F.B. and Lettie Bowman Mason.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 10 AM until service time at 3 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS with graveside services following in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Glen Hilton and Bro. John Eschete will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Bessie loved spending time outdoors with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her children Kevin Wilson (Angie) of Wesson, MS; Rachelle Greer (Carey) of Monahan, Texas; grandchildren, Julie Leann Stevenson, Amanda Gatlin, Lisa Lambert, Ashlie Payne, Zane Wilson, Gage Wilson and Mason Wilson; great grandchildren, Tristan Wallace, Marley Stevenson, Teagan Gatlin, Brennan Gatlin, Jakob Lambert, Marlee Lambert, Keegan Foster, Kylan Payne, Aliza Payne, Karter Wilson and Lyla Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her husband Zane Ray Wilson; son Charles "Chad" Smith; daughter Sonia Baker; brothers Elie E.J. Mason and Benjamine Mason; sister Amelia Jarvis; one grandson Josh Lambert.
