Bessie "Nell" Hedgepeth, 85 was called home from this life on August 31, 2017, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Nell was born March 23, 1932 in Springhill, LA to Jay G. and Bessie Beene Coyle.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carmel Baptist Church in Monticello, with funeral services on Monday September 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM with graveside services following in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Harvey will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Nell graduated from Springhill High School; she was a member of the Woodmen of the World and was an active member of Carmel Baptist Church, where she taught two and three year olds in Sunday School for over fifty seven years.

Surviving Nell is her sister-in-law Jane Thompson of Madision, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents Jay G. and Bessie Beene Coyle husband John William Hedgepeth Jr.; sisters Norma Lee Taylor, C.B. Shanks, Orlene Burns and Willie Fred Bollier; one brother David Leonard Coyle.
