Bernice Grimes, 86 of Monticello, MS passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at her home in Monticello, MS. She was born Sunday, August 28, 1938 to Marvin and Lizzie Farmer in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home at 904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, Mississippi.  Bro. Johnny Calcote and Bro. Jeff Davis will officiate. Bernice was the one who knew everyone and everyone knew her. For the ones that knew her best called her "Bernie". You could always catch Bernie after cleaning houses with her sister Jeanette Foster at the cleaners. Bernie loved her family and her church.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband of forty years, Robert Dean Grimes; son, Phillip Dean Grimes; step-daughter, Bobbie Bourn; sisters, Inez Jinright, Barbara Ann Fauver and Jeanette Foster; son-in-law, Hardeep Gill.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Grimes Gill; stepson, Bill Grimes; brothers, Robert Earl Farmer (Ann) of Lafayette, LA, and Herman Farmer (Shirley) of Monticello, MS; grandchildren, Kristen Ready (Derek), Brandy Carney (Corey), Randy Grayson Jr, Gabrielle Gill (Taylor), Brittaney Bozeman (Ryan), Heather Grimes, Holly Smith (Zach). 17 Great Grandchildren; Macy, Rylea, and Reagan Carney, Daytin and Adley Ready, Beckett Allen, Dax Seago, Caden, Claire, and Callie Grayson, Blaze Bozeman, Madison, Hunter and Brantley Pickett, Sam, Eli and Benjamin Smith; 4 Great-Great grandchildren, Kohen and Kollins Grayson, Harper and Ella Grace Boyd.

Pallbearers will be Daytin Ready, Blaze Bozeman, Randy Grayson Jr., Derek Ready, Corey Carney, Darryl Foster, and Ryan Bozeman.
