Funeral services for Bennie Lee Kirkland 93, will be on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant in Jayess, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Bobbie Dawson will be officiating the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant on Friday, July 13, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Mrs. Kirkland, of Monticello, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Lawrence County Nursing Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 29, 1925 in Lawrence County, MS, to Ben and Lucy Lambert. She was the oldest member of Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren brothers, sisters, and friends and she was loved by them all.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Curtis Kirkland; son, Tommy Kirkland; daughters, Martha Reid; sisters, Annie, Bobbie, Laura, Lucetta, Ruby Lambert; and one brother Mack Lambert.

Survivors are her son Curtis Ray and wife Jewan Kirkland; daughter-in-law Michelle Kirkland; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
