Barney Lee Calcote, Sr, 92 of Monticello, MS passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his residence in Monticello, MS. He was born Monday, August 15, 1932 in Lawrence County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church at 73 Bethel Rd, Monticello, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, Mississippi.  Bro. He was preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Deloris Morgan Calcote; his daughters, Gwen Calcote and Cindy Calcote;  father, Barney Calcote;  mother, Marie King Calcote;  brothers, Frank Calcote, Robert Calcote, Glen Calcote, Richard Calcote and Jerry Calcote;  sisters, Mildred Calcote Ballard, Voncile Calcote Benoît, Joann Calcote, and Sara Calcote King; one grandson, Kevin Hedgepeth; one great grand daughter, Kylee Bree Faust.

Survivors include his son, Barney Calcote, Jr;  daughter, Tanya Calcote of Monticello, MS;  sisters, Jean Calcote Pertri and Sue Calcote Armstrong.
