Ms. Ava Faye Mullins, 87 of Tilton, MS, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at her residence in Tilton. She was born July 17, 1932, in Mount Olive, MS, to James Timothy and Eunice Geniva Duckworth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Sauls Valley Baptist Church in Monticello, MS, and continuing Friday, September 27, 2019, from 11:00 AM until service time at 3:00 PM at Sauls Valley Baptist Church with graveside services following in Sauls Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Douglas Lee will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Faye was a member of Sauls Valley Baptist Church; was a homemaker; and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife of 69 years to Dempsey Mullins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her son, Charles Mullins and wife Marilyn of Tilton, MS; daughter, Wanda Mullins of Asheville, NC; 3 grandchildren, Terri Mullins Johnson (Scott), Keith Mullins (Meghan), and Jessica Leaven (Tod); 6 great-grandchildren, Matti B, Sophee, Rayce, Madison, Eleanor and Abigail; sister-in-law, Billie Mullins Ward of Monticello, MS; and a host of family and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Charles Dempsey Mullins; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
