Anne Steen Story , 79 of Monticello, MS , died Friday , April 4, 2014 at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello , MS . Funeral services will be held at 2pm , on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello , MS . Burial will be in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery . Mrs. Story was an accomplished musician and writer. Writing for Lawrence County Press and The Clarion Ledger known for her short stories. Anne loved history of Lawrence County and enjoyed writing historical stories. She worked for 32 years with the Mississippi High Way Department and served as a legislative spokes person. Anne loved animals and one very special dog called Muffin and her cat Jerry Lee. She enjoyed gardening and horticulture.
