Obituary

Anna Mary Brooks,83, was called home from this life on September 9, 2017, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Anna was born October 29, 1933 in New Orleans, LA to Thomas Mascaro and Melanie Windstein Lotz Rodriguez .
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello and continuing Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 9 AM until service time at 10 AM with graveside services following in New Hebron Cemetery, New Hebron, MS. Bro. Earl Clark will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brooks was a member of Bethel Baptist Church; she was also a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family; she loved watching football games, cooking for her family, and being involved in her grandchildren's activities.
Surviving Mrs. Brooks are her children Billy Brooks (Karen) of Brookhaven, MS; Tom Brooks (Michelle) of Wesson, MS; Jeanine Fuller (Larry) of New Hebron, MS; Dennis Brooks (Stacey) of Monticello, MS; Anna Canterberry (Ed) of Campti, LA; and Jeffery Brooks of McComb, MS; along with 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; sisters Iris Lotz Linden, Muriel Lotz Townsend, and Catherine Rodriguez Howieson.
Preceding her in death were husband Willie (Bill) Lee Brooks, Jr., parents, sister Melanie Lotz, grandchildren Laura Fuller Duke and Wesley Canterberry.
